Mark is based in Linton and Beth in Steeple Bumpstead so we cover all of the surrounding towns and villages. For areas more than 5 miles from either Linton or Steeple Bumpstead, a mileage charge applies.

Yes, we’re fully insured with PetPlan Sanctuary, pet first aid trained and hold clear DBS checks. Beth also holds a 5* license with Braintree District Council for day care and home boarding.

For day care, walks and drop in visits, we invoice monthly in arrears with payment due via bank transfer on the final day of the month. For boarding bookings, we request a deposit at the time of booking to secure your dates; full payment is then required within 7 days of the end of your dogs stay, or by the final day of the month your booking took place in, whichever is sooner.

Yes, we currently specialise in solo walks which means all of our walks are booked as a single household and we won’t be walking someone else’s dog at the same time as yours. This means that your dog receives 1-1 attention and walks are tailored to their needs and pace.

We currently specialise in solo walks but plan to introduce a limited number of group walks/socialisation sessions during 2026. Please get in touch for more information or if you’d like to be added to our waiting list.

We walk in most weather conditions but will always prioritise your dogs safety and comfort, especially in extreme heat or storms. If we’re unable to walk your dog due to the weather, their walk will be substituted with a visit where they’ll still receive our full care and attention for their booked time.

Yes, walks are available in 30, 45 or 60 minute slots. Please note that this includes the time it takes to prepare your dog for their walk and settle them afterwards.

To help your dog feel as comfortable and settled as possible, we ask you to bring:

  • Enough of their usual food for the duration of their stay – keeping to their normal food helps avoid any upset tummies during their holiday
  • Any treats that form part of their usual routine e.g. a lunchtime dental stick or bedtime biscuit
  • Medication, if needed, labelled with their name and clear instructions
  • A bed or blanket for familiarity to help them feel at home

We have plenty of bowls, toys, towels etc. here so you don’t need to worry about bringing those.

We follow your dogs usual home routine where possible, If they’re used to sleeping in the kitchen, on the sofa, or in the bedroom, the same applies here. We encourage you to bring your dogs bed or a blanket to help them feel at home during their holiday with us.

Yes, we try as far as possible to replicate your dogs usual home routine. Prior to their stay you’ll be asked to complete our online information form where we request information on your dog’s usual routine including their meal times, walks and sleep so that we can keep things as familiar as possible.

Yes, we can administer medication as instructed, provided clear guidance is given in advance. Medication needs to be clearly labelled with your pets name and their required dose.

We are licensed to care for up to 8 dogs in total, including our own two dogs, Heidi and Charlie. However, we intentionally keep our boarding numbers small to ensure every dog receives plenty of individual care and attention.

From Tuesday to Friday we also offer day care, and on these days our numbers may reach our licensed capacity. For this reason, all dogs staying with us must be comfortable and sociable in the company of other dogs.

Male dogs over the age of 18 months need to be neutered to stay with us. While female dogs don’t have to be spayed, they will be unable to stay if a season would be expected during their stay or they are in season, including for up to three weeks after bleeding has stopped.

Seasons and unneutered males can sometimes change group dynamics and behaviour. As we operate a small, home based setting where dogs share spaces within our home, this policy helps to ensure a calm, safe and comfortable environment for all of the dogs in our care.

Day care is suitable for dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs and would be comfortable in a small group setting. A trial session is required prior to any bookings being accepted to ensure that they’d be settled, happy and a good fit for the group.

Days are carefully planned, from enrichment activities and supervised play, to time outside, opportunities to relax and learning to be comfortable around other dogs. Every day is structured to balance activity, rest and positive social experiences tailored to each dog in our care.

Visits are tailored to your pets needs and can include some company, playtime, feeding, giving of medication or cleaning litter trays or enclosures.
